Attendees at the celebration event included: Minnesota State Senator Bruce Anderson (R-SD29); Drew Halunen, senior communications advisor; U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar; Stacy Morse, district director; U.S. Congressman Tom Emmer; and Charles Sutton, senior outreach director, U.S. Senator Tina Smith. Ken Schaff, president, Custom Turning and Lloyd Campbell, co-owner, Custom Turning, led the group on a tour of the company’s facilities.
“Custom Turning continues to show remarkable dedication for driving its business performance while maintaining the highest standards of quality,” said Bob Kill. “Earning this certification demonstrates that the company is well positioned for profitable and sustainable growth.”
ISO 9001:2015 requires manufacturers to introduce ground-breaking concepts of quality management and continual improvement to its certified organizations. Advocates say it aligns an organization’s strategic direction with their quality management systems and thereby helps it monitor the company’s performance.
“ISO 9001:2015 provides a workable management system that is suitable for our business and improves all areas of our organization,” said Ken Schaff. “It gives customers the confidence that we are working with the highest quality of standards and procedures which in turn help us to provide them with unmatched customer service.”
