Minneapolis (December 19, 2017) - Bob Kill, president and CEO of Enterprise Minnesota, recently traveled to Owatonna, Minn. to honor Advanced Coil Technology for achieving its ISO 9001:2015 registration.

Attendees at the celebration event included: Minnesota State Representative John Petersburg (R-24A); Tim Penny, president and CEO, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation; Chuck Ackman, regional outreach director, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar; and Gary Smith, president, Rochester Area Economic Development, Inc. Devon Barnes, general manager, Advanced Coil Technology led the group on a tour of the company’s facilities.

“Advanced Coil Technology is an excellent example of a Minnesota manufacturer that has positioned itself for growth,” said Bob Kill. “By becoming an ISO 9001:2015 registered business, Advanced Coil is demonstrating that it understands what it takes to be competitive in today’s global economy,” Kill added.

ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized standard that confirms a company is meeting the highest standards available for managing its business. ISO is a “road map” of business activity that streamlines processes, confirms practices that correctly match up with supplier and customer needs, and states that company management methodically measures quality throughout its entire business.

“We are all proud and excited to achieve this certification as it demonstrates our commitment to our business, our customers, and to the continuous improvement and customer satisfaction that they have come to expect,” said Devon Barnes, general manager, Advanced Coil Technology.

Advanced Coil Technology is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty welded heat exchangers that serve a variety of industries including agriculture, food processing, paper and petroleum. Founded in 1995, the company employs 12 people at its plant in Owatonna, Minnesota.
