Enterprise Minnesota sales and consulting staff work from their homes and live throughout Minnesota. Executive, marketing, administration and finance staff work out of the corporate office in Minneapolis.

Position Purpose:

A Business Growth Consultant at Enterprise Minnesota is a seasoned/experienced expert at consulting with small and medium size manufacturing companies to continually improve work processes and growth plans that help grow business. This position works collaboratively and cross-functionally with the organization’s team of consulting experts in all service areas including strategy, revenue growth, talent & leadership, business management systems and, continuous improvement. Consultants with considerable leadership skills may be given the opportunity to lead Enterprise Minnesota Peer Councils. Each peer council comprises 10 to 12 CEOs looking to learn from their fellow CEOs to grow their business. This role also works with our business development team to contribute to our selling process. The position reports to the Vice President of Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with CEOs and their staff to deliver Enterprise Minnesota consulting services to help manufacturers grow their business through measurable results.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Minnesota business development staff during sales calls to offer expertise that helps close business. This includes discovery conversations, scoping out client work/developing proposals, responding to executives’ questions and nurturing connections that help Enterprise Minnesota develop long-term client relationships.
  • During client consultations, seek to identify additional areas of the business that will benefit from Enterprise Minnesota’s suite of consulting services and work with business developers to incorporate this work into the business.
  • Contribute to sharing consulting knowledge with new and developing consultants, and work to evolve service content to meet the needs of the marketplace.
  • Consultants are dedicated to accuracy, completeness, brand, and professionalism in all written materials.
  • Support consultant peers in client engagements.

Competencies, Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of success consulting with manufacturing CEOs/owners to assess business environment, recommend solutions, and help manufacturing companies implement the right strategy and growth solutions.
  • Ten+ years’ experience in executive manufacturing functions.
  • Ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams as well as be an individual contributor.
  • Desire, passion and experience working with manufacturing clients and Enterprise Minnesota teams to achieve business goals.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, science or related field (advanced degree preferred).
