Enterprise Minnesota Launches New Leadership and Talent Development Services
Minneapolis (July 10, 2017) - Enterprise Minnesota, an ISO 9001:2008 certified consulting organization for medium-size and smaller manufacturing companies, has launched leadership and talent development, as part of its suite of consulting service offerings for Minnesota’s small and medium size manufacturing companies seeking to effectively influence the culture and performance of their businesses.
Enterprise Minnesota’s leadership and talent development consultants help Minnesota manufacturers develop, retain, and attract top talent in an increasingly tight labor market, and assess businesses to determine current and future leadership competencies integral to organizational success. Manufacturers can expect to better understand where their skills and leadership gaps are and how to close them, improved workforce productivity and adaptability, and to be best prepared for future growth opportunities.
Enterprise Minnesota’s 2017 State of Manufacturing® survey found that 68% of Minnesota’s manufacturers say that the difficulty of attracting and retaining qualified workers is a significant concern, which is a sizeable increase compared to the results from the 2010 survey.
“The skills gap and the shortage of qualified workers pose a growing risk for manufacturers and it is critical that they take a proactive approach to developing their talent in order to grow profitably,” said Bob Kill, Enterprise Minnesota president & CEO. “One of the main concerns we regularly hear about from manufacturers is the challenge of developing effective leaders internally. We believe these new services will help manufacturers build a stronger leadership culture at all levels of their organization.”
“Leaders are the core component to developing the talent within any organization," said Abbey Hellickson, an Enterprise Minnesota business growth consultant. "When you start with developing your current leaders, it trickles down throughout the entire business. Manufacturers all have different approaches, cultures, environments, and relevant issues, which is why we don’t do one-size-fits-all solutions. Our services are designed and delivered based on the specific needs of each individual company.”
Enterprise Minnesota is hosting Manufacturing Workshops on leadership and talent development exclusively for manufacturing executives in Blaine on July 13, Mankato on July 27, and White Bear Lake on August 3.
