Mary Connor serves as a Business Growth Advisor for Enterprise Minnesota. Utilizing more than 32 years of experience in manufacturing, financial management, strategic planning, and consulting, Mary understands how to implement business improvement initiatives including training
clients in lean culture, lean leadership, and lean teams.
Working throughout the state of Minnesota, Mary helps clients find solutions for innovative strategies to grow and keep pace with domestic and global competition. She also serves as a liaison to MnSCU campuses, helping clients gain access to academic resources in research and
development.
Mary holds bachelor's degrees in both business administration and business education from the University of Minnesota, along with a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining Enterprise Minnesota,
Mary worked as a proposal manager for Unisys, as controller for the College of St. Catherine. She has also worked for Midwest Fire Protection, a family-run business still in operation, where she oversaw the company's financial condition and sustaining shareholder value.
Mary has received training in industrial marketing, value and strategic pricing, ISO 9001: 2001 transition, customer relations management, GreenLeanSM, lean accounting, family owned business succession planning, and completed the Blandin community leadership program. Mary
is also certified as a FastTrac for Manufacturing trainer by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
