As a Process Engineering Specialist with Enterprise Minnesota, Mike Braml is able to use his extensive background in manufacturing and management to help clients make significant gains toward operational excellence. He has more than 30 years of experience in strategic planning and execution, product and process design, lean enterprise, change management, and project management.  Mike is one of only three individuals in the entire country that is certified through the TWI Institute as a Master Trainer for Training Within Industry.

 

Prior to joining Enterprise Minnesota, Mike worked in management and executive management for manufacturers in Minnesota. He began his career working in plant support in the high-tech industry, and then moved on to serve in management at a metal fabricator. From there, Mike went to work as general manager and president of a woodworking manufacturer. He also has experience in public education, working for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities on grants, public funding, and program design.

 

Mike has a bachelor’s degree in both biology and land management biology from the University of Wisconsin. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Kennedy Western University. Mike is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS). He holds certification on Systematic Layout Planning from Muther Associates, as well as Lean 101 and 5S from NIST-MEP. Mike is currently a member of the Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and APICS.
