As a director at Enterprise Minnesota, Lynn Shelton is a member of the management team and leads its Marketing and Communications division. Lynn brings a wealth of professional communications, public relations, public affairs, media relations, publishing and fund-raising experience to Enterprise Minnesota. Having worked in the private sector, non-profit, and state and federal government arenas, she leverages her knowledge of, and relationships within these arenas to enrich the highly regarded publishing and event products Enterprise Minnesota offers its business customers.
Prior to joining Enterprise Minnesota in 2001, Lynn served as the Director of Communications for The Minnesota Partnership for Action Against Tobacco (MPAAT) and, she conducted public relations/public affairs work for MSP Communications and the PR arm of Martin Williams. In the mid 1990s, Lynn was the Director of Development for the Minnesota Private College Council. In the formative years of her career Lynn worked in communications and media relations for The Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development, the Minnesota Legislature and even before graduating from college, Lynn was recruited to be the Assistant Press Secretary for then U.S. Senator Rudy Boschwitz in his Washington, D.C. office.
Lynn earned her BA in Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Seeing Hands – “Bringing the world of reading to blind children” and she is a member of the Minnesota Magazine & Publications Association.
