As a Process Engineering Specialist for Enterprise Minnesota, David Ahlquist serves clients with his broad expertise in operations and engineering management. David has more than 20 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean enterprise, value stream mapping, manufacturing systems, manufacturing engineering, production supervision, and software systems. He is committed to improving clients’ efficiency and helping position for growth.

 

Prior to joining Enterprise Minnesota, David worked in engineering and operations management for manufacturers, owned a small business, and worked in consulting. He served as a manufacturing engineer for Westin Automotive, a manufacturing systems consultant for AMCI Computers, as operations manager for Gunnard, and owned Pet Stuff - his own small business.

 

David has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in industrial engineering operations research from the University of Minnesota along with a Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. He holds certification from NIST-MEP as a trainer for lean 101, office value-stream mapping, 5S, and implementing value-stream mapping. David is currently a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
